Pre-School and Pre-K

4 year olds

Our four-year-old program facilitates and deepens a child's social development and helps build a strong foundation for navigating their future academic and life-long interaction skills.
Our Pre-K classrooms are designed to help your child make significant developmental gains, communicate more successfully, and work well both independently and in group situations.  Along with our Frog Street Pre-K curriculum, we offer a weekly visit into our STEAM room for all Pre-K children.   Children form teams and are given a variety of tasks focused on problem-solving, responsive listening and language usage, as well as social and collaborative skills.

  • Vocabulary development:
  • Phonological awareness
  • Phonemic awareness
  • Print awareness
  • Alphabet knowledge
  • Mathematics
  • Technology: Laptops in the classroom

Our Pre-K children are part of teams and spend one morning each week working on collaborative, critical thinking projects together. Throughout the school year, we provide challenges to the teams such as Habitat building, graphic design, engineering stable structures, band camp and creating theatrical productions from scratch. The teams work together and learn to find solutions to the challenges they are given.
